Communications & Marketing: CCI has been contracted to provide expertise in the areas of public health emergency risk communication, health communication and education practice, including social marketing, media advocacy, and other behavior-change strategies. Our staff assists in the development and application of communication strategies employing emerging technology for the advancement of public health interests, in coordination with international partners within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), other Federal Agencies or Departments, and International organizations. More specifically, our staff develops and executes Health Communications initiatives in direct support of CDC’s Global Disease Detection Response Centers, provides counseling and direct support to global communications counterparts, designated federal government, international, and non-governmental organization partners, develops and refines public health emergency preparedness documents and plans; develops, tests, implements, monitors and evaluates health communication and health education materials, campaigns, and curricula; and identifies training needs for public health workers in CDC priority countries, with emphasis on those workers engaging populations cited for increased public health risk.
Health communications and technical writing support is also provided to the "Learn the signs. Act Early." Autism Campaign, Rare Disorders and Health Outcomes Team (RDHO), Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI), Sustainability Program, Office of Women’s Health (OWH), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD) Health Communication Science Office (HCSO), and Community Guide among other clients at CDC.
