Louis Salinas, MPA (Project Manager): Louis served in various positions across the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) over the course of his 36+ year career including Public Health Advisor;  Program Consultant for the Division of Tuberculosis Elimination; Chief of the Program Coordination Unit, National Center for HIV, STD, and TB Prevention; Principal Liaison to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID); Country Support Coordinator within CDC’s Global AIDS Program; Deputy Branch Chief, Associate Director for Management and Operations, and Acting Deputy Division Director of the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion’s Division of Reproductive Health; Deputy Director for the Division of International Health for CDC’s Epidemiology Program Office (EPO); and Deputy Director for the Division of Adolescent and School Health within the Chronic Disease Center. In May 2008, was named Deputy Director of the Division of Oral Health, the position from which he retired. Notably, between May 2009 and May 2010, Louis served as the Agency’s Acting Chief of Staff at the request of the CDC Director, Dr. Thomas Frieden.
